Advancing Clinical Audit Course

Individuals who are working in clinical audit and clinical effectiveness-related jobs need to understand the principles of quality improvement, clinical risk management, clinical performance appraisal and clinical governance or corporate accountability for patient care — and the links with clinical audit.

The course helps participants think strategically about how quality improvement, clinical audit and clinical effectiveness programmes should work in their own organizations.

This workshop provides practical tools to help clinicians do the right audits the right way, in order to lead to tangible benefits for patients.

Who the workshop is for
The workshop is designed for clinical staff so we offer the Getting Clinical Audit Right to Benefit Patients Workshop on a local level. We travel to your organization and provide the workshop onsite at a time most convenient to the clinical staff who will participate.

What's included
Each participant receives a detailed reference book on clinical audit and a workbook with examples of audit designs and practical assignments to complete in the workshop. Please contact us for information regarding costs.

How To Teach Clinical Audit Course

Clinical effectiveness and clinical audit managers and facilitators are expected to give presentations about clinical audit and to teach clinical staff how to do a clinical audit. However, many have had no formal training in being an effective presenter or facilitator.

This two-day course sets out a framework for designing any teaching session, provides a structured approach to planning what to teach and how and gives advice on how to get students involved in practical work.

Who the course is for
The course is intended for clinical audit and clinical effectiveness staff who have completed formal training in clinical audit and are expected to teach how to do clinical audit to others. The course is also suited for clinical leads for clinical audit in individual services and for clinical tutors who may have responsibility for teaching doctors, nurses or therapists in training about clinical audit.

We provide the course for regional or local groups upon request.

Cost
The cost of the two-day residential course is £600 plus VAT which includes the course fee, all course-related materials and hotel accommodation including meals for a two-night stay.
